July 5 (Wed) 7:00pm FLAG: SQL Tower Controller Stacey Maye, 'And I'm not a Sir'

Event Date:
Wednesday, July 5, 2017 - 7:00pm

The women of SCFC have formed a new program aimed at inspiring and supporting women pilots. Fly Like a Girl connects current and aspiring women pilots in an informal bi-monthly forum. San Carlos Flight Center invites all women pilots, controllers, mechanics, and technicians to join us at our next Fly Like a Girl meeting on Wednesday, July 5th.  This month's topic continues our investigation into women in the aviation industry with special guest Stacey Maye

Topics:

  • Q/A session with SCFC mechanics

  • Historical Aviatrix - FLAG community members

  • And I'm not a Sir... - Former USAF and San Carlos ATM Stacey Maye.

Stacey grew up in Houston, Texas, and served in the US Air Force before joining the FAA for a career in Air Traffic Control. She retired from SoCAL TRACON Los Angeles Arrival specialty.  Since then, Maye has worked as a contract Air Traffic Controller in Kona, Hawaii, before moving on as Air Traffic Manager at San Carlos Tower.

The women of Fly Like a Girl are looking forward to meeting you! You may find your next flight sharing partner or mentor. Join us if you are proud to Fly Like A Girl.

Food and beverages will be provided to all women aviators.
