September 3 (Sun) 9:00am Castle Air Museum Open Cockpit Day

Event Date:
Sunday, September 3, 2017 - 10:00am

Sunday 3 September is Open Cockpit Day at Castle Air Museum, one of California’s greatest air museums.

Step into the cockpit and back in time at Castle Air Museum. Located on the site of the former Castle Air Force Base (KMER); the museum has a collection of vintage and legacy era aircraft, including a B-17 Flying Fortress and an SR-71A Blackbird. With 55 restored aircraft and other artifacts, it’s an exciting destination for families, history experts, and aviation enthusiasts wanting an educational and entertaining stroll through the past, and to witness the preservation of military aviation heritage.

This event gets really crowded as the day goes by so we’ll plan on meeting at Castle Air Airport (KMER) at 10:00am. Admission to the museum is only $12 for adults, $8 for seniors, $5 for kids (5 -17) and free for those under 5. A family pass is $30.
